AuroraSat-1 is now “The Flying Object”
AuroraSat-1 to be branded in a media partnership with The Flying Object fund
Espoo, Finland. November 11, 2021 – Aurora Propulsion Technologies, a leading space propulsion systems company, has today announced the branding of its AuroraSat-1 with The Flying Object (TFO), a Fund from Kluz Ventures focusing on the Technology of Flight.
To accelerate growth and market entry, Aurora is partnering with The Flying Object in a campaign to highlight the growth and dynamism of the Space propulsion industry. Aurora and TFO, as thought leaders and innovative industry players, are accelerating the awareness of space development by branding Auroras’ first space craft. Auroras’ first flying object is now officially known as “The Flying Object”.
The spacecraft, will concentrate on validating new ground breaking technologies to enable miniature but high thrust water-based propulsion on small spacecraft. In addition to which, it will demonstrate new Plasma Brake technology for deorbiting the space craft at the end of its mission. The technologies pave the road for a junk free space, with the ability to manoeuvre spacecraft to ensure collision avoidance capability and to remove obsolete spacecraft from orbit.
In a recently-signed investment agreement provides Aurora with an accelerated market entry at a critical phase in the company’s growth. As a part of a previously announced funding round lead by Practica Capital and joined by TFO and TESI as institutional investors, Aurora has agreed on a joint marketing campaign with TFO to boost the companies’ visibility in the industry.

This type of direct marketing partnership is believed to be a first in the industry and highlights the close collaboration of funding partners with the New Space companies in this rapidly growing sector.
